Our Story
Brevard Cosmetic Surgery Group (BCSG) is a family owned and operated practice that was started in 1982 by
Dr. Frank Venzara and his wife Cheryl. BCSG started as a 600 square foot office in Cocoa Beach! Four years later in 1986 the current office was built, and Dr. Venzara and Cheryl moved their young family to Merritt Island. They wanted to be a part of a small community where neighbors knew your name and everyone looked out for one another. The Venzaras took those values to heart, caring for the community as members of their own family. In 1990 Dr. Bashore, impressed by the core values and with a similar desire to serve the community decided to join the practice.
BCSG has continued to grow ever since!
If you grew up in Merritt Island or Cocoa Beach, chances are you met Dr. Venzara or Dr. Bashore for the first time in the ER at Cape Canaveral Hospital when "plastics" was called in to stitch up a bravely earned battle wound. Or, you might remember The Doctors opening the office after hours, often at dinner time, to sew up the damage from a football helmet to the chin or an ill fated leap from a backyard treehouse. Being a team the community could rely on has always been important to Dr. Venzara and Dr. Bashore. Over the years, small town values and treating patients like family has molded BCSG into the relaxed laid back practice that you still experience today each and every time you walk through our front door.
